Motorola SBG900 Set static IP and alternate DNS Servers

The motorola SBG900 will not let you turn off the DHCP server on the LAN side, and it will not work if you use static IP’s with alternate DNS servers.

To set a static IP:

On your router: Go to your IP lease table
Reserve the IP with the mac address

On your device or computer: Set your static IP, using the same address you reserved in your router
Set your DNS servers

On your router: Go to your IP lease table
Your de¡vice will have a Staitic IP Tag

Ready.
